LPYFS Substance Abuse Treatment Services

LPYFS operates an outpatient addiction treatment program located at 1464 W. 115th Street on Chicago’s far south side. The program is licensed and funded by the Illinois Department of Human Services-Division of Alcoholism and Substance Abuse. Le Penseur offers ASAM Level II intensive and Level I regular out-patient services for adults and adolescents as well as DUI Evaluations and DUI Risk Education.

Level I: Outpatient

Le Penseur offers non-residential substance abuse treatment consisting of face-to-face clinical services for adults and adolescents. The frequency and intensity of such treatment shall depend on patient need but shall be a planned regimen of regularly scheduled sessions that average less than nine hours per week.

Level II: Intensive Outpatient

Le Penseur offers non-residential substance abuse treatment consisting of face-to-face clinical services for adults or adolescents. The frequency and intensity of such treatment shall depend on patient need but shall be a planned regimen of scheduled sessions for a minimum of nine hours per week.

HIV/AIDS Program 1997 – Present

The HIV/AIDS Prevention Program target population is men and women of color between the ages of 13 – 45 that are "at risk" and/or participating in risky behaviors. This program services to promote a healthy self-image, self-awareness and healthy lifestyles are provided in a creative and culturally specific manner that was designed to bring about attitude and behavior changes. The agency provides testing services as well as the distribution of condoms.
